Like many solutions, my latest web application was born because of a need to streamline a task that's been done the same, old-fashioned way for more than 20 years. The solution is for sales people going "door to door" selling products and filling out paper order forms for the same customers over and over again. They come home each night and fax these order forms to their company for processing. The problem is: this takes forever and it's how our grandparents would have done it. My simple solution solves this problem.

Many have asked how I'm finding freelance jobs in this market. Well, here it is! A couple months ago I decided that I was not going to be able continue bringing on clients if I didn't bust my butt trying. I spent some time on CareerBuilder and Monster Jobs but had zero luck. Those sites are not built for the freelancer, but Craigslist is.

So, my friend (Smith) works at a psych institution and always has really odd stories. (He hates it, by the way.) So the other night he was telling me about this new guy that someone found wondering around and suggested he admit himself. He entered the building willingly. While the nursing staff was working on his paperwork, Smith was assigned the job of “checking him in”. They have to go into a room and wand people down to make sure they don’t have anything on them, go through their belongings, etc…

Over the past couple weeks, I have had more issues with my MacBook Pro than ever before. This all began when I convinced myself it would be great to upgrade early to Snow Leopard. I wanted to share my experience (and solution) so that maybe I can save someone else a huge headache.
